Meet Ms. Ryley…She’s going places! I met Ryley while photographing her super hilarious family in 2016 and jumped at the chance to photograph her ballet portfolio. I knew she would be a dream to work with and I thought we would be able to create some really beautiful shots. She is so incredibly graceful, strong and fierce!!! Her dedication and time spent with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School has definitely paid off!
We started off with some headshots and then moved on to the required ballet “school shots” (these are just a few of both).
But then we got to play and boy was it fun!
Her love for her chosen career is inspiring. She absolutely beams when talking about the next steps (ahem…remember the little people…). While we were cleaning up she continued to twirl and dance around the studio with a blissful grin on her face and it was just so nice to see. Never lose that, my friend!! Break a leg!

I had the pleasure of traveling back to Cochrane (our old OLD home town) to photograph this lovely Mother and Daughter. I LOVE photographing children, but it was kind of refreshing not to have to cajole a two year old 😉 I only had to promise these two that we would have fun while we captured some beautiful images. And boy did we! It was like walking with old friends while we escaped a major rain storm by minutes. Phew! What made this session neat was that it was a gift from the daughter’s friends as she’s getting married this fall. Here’s just a few of the images that we captured ~
Best of luck this fall and thank you for meeting me in one of my favourite places!

I was floored when this lovely lady emailed me from Nunavut for head shots. Yes, you read that correctly! She periodically comes south for work and scheduled a session during one of her trips. It was wonderful to meet her and I loved the change of pace from baby photography. I didn’t have to “shoosh” in her ear once! 🙂
Isn’t she beautiful!?!
