Photographing newborns is a definite love of mine. I think it’s because I stunk at it when my kids were babes and I want people to have the best possible newborn photos of this precious, fleeting time in their child’s life. Little William did not disappoint!! Mom and Dad (whose maternity photos can be seen HERE) are super chill and followed all of my tips and tricks to get their little guy ready and it sure paid off. Sleepiest little bug EVER!! He was a dream to work with 🙂

Earlier this winter I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful Mama and her growing family.

I love to do Maternity Photography with newborn clients as it gives us a chance to get to know each other, discuss newborn photography options (first 10 days or more lifestyle a little later on) and to just relax before the real excitement begins!

Then this little beauty came along!  She was so good and such a beautiful baby girl and her big brother was so incredibly proud to be able to hold her.  So incredibly sweet!

At home Edmonton Baby Photography Session:  I was so honoured to meet and photograph this sweet baby girl and her parents.  They are taking everything in stride and only showing love and patience for their lovely wee girl.  I wish them nothing but the best as they get to go home and settle into their new normal after a lengthy stay in Edmonton.  Although these photos weren’t taken in their own home, they were taken in their temporary home which helped to create a relaxed atmosphere for the many diaper changes and feedings.  It’s just so much easier on everyone to have all of your “stuff” around.

He’s pretty cute, isn’t he 😉

Yup. This is one lucky little guy. He decided to start a growth spurt on the day we did his session, so I got to spend lots of time just chatting with his parents. They are incredibly cool people with such a fantastic outlook on life. I felt like I had known them forever and it was such a pleasure to spend the afternoon with them. The wee man is awfully cute too! I didn’t even pose him with the bunny. He just curled right into him 😉 So sweet!!

I gotta admit, I’m a little (a lot) over winter these days, but the warmer temperatures do make for some lovely late winter maternity photos.

Petite Maternity sessions are awesome because they give new parents a chance to get to know me before sleep deprivation takes over 😉 and we create some lovely memories of this special time to boot!

I can’t wait to photograph their newborn after he makes his way into the world!

2013 is proving to be an exciting and busy year! My spring is rapidly booking up thanks to you, my wonderful clients, and your loyal support. THANK YOU! However, it is also going to be a BIG year of change. Change for both my family and my business. One that I am excited about, but exhausted thinking about at the same time….

What’s the scoop you ask? Well, we’re moving…A move that will take us over 2,000 km away. Yep. We’re on the road back to Alberta. Wowsers, huh? It’s taken me a few days to lift my jaw off the floor too… However, while I’m dreading all that has to be done and saying goodbye to friends, family and a city that I call home, I am excited for the chance to try new things, make new friends and photograph new places.

So what does this mean for you? Rest assured, all sessions that have been booked are safe and sound and will be completed prior to our move this summer. As for the rest of you? Now’s your chance to book a session before I’m hitchin’ up the wagon to go west. I will have limited availability between now and the end of June, so if you are at all interested, please let me know as soon as possible.
