Suzanne & Geoffrey were married on a beautiful and HOT day in June! Holy moly! I had the pleasure of shooting with FMPhotoStudios and I began my day at the Groom’s Parents’ lovely home. We, of course, bonded immediately due to our Scottish heritage 🙂 We then moved on to the gorgeous ceremony at St. Joseph’s Basilica in downtown Edmonton.
After the wedding we had fun taking bridal photos around the city and then ended up at the reception which was held at the Hotel MacDonald…stunning!!
Congratulations you two!
Shona
I had the pleasure of second shooting my last wedding of the season in St. Albert with Marko and FMPhotoStudios earlier in September. After very cold and snowy temperatures, the weekend was gorgeous and warm…which was a relief as the ceremony and reception were outside!
My day began with the boys and folding pocket squares…
We then moved out to a beautiful acreage just outside of St. Albert. After the lovely ceremony under the trees, we took some amazing photographs on the property and at a neighbour’s farm.
The reception was under a massive parachute and they incorporated their love for travel and hiking in each of the place settings. No detail was forgotten and a huge bonfire was lit once the sun went down. It was absolutely stunning and there were no mosquitos! Can you say perfect night??
All the best Craig & Robyn! I’m sure your adventurous spirits will take you to many exciting places!

Once again I had the wonderful opportunity to second shoot with Marko and FM Photo Studios for Nicole and Nathan’s wedding in St. Albert earlier this summer. I was so relieved for them that the deluge from the previous day had stopped and we had a beautiful day to celebrate their marriage. I started off at Nathan’s parents’ house photographing the super heroes, er, boys getting ready for the big day. Needless to say this crew were a lot of fun and I felt like a mother hen getting all of their ties and suspenders sorted out 😉 The ceremony was beautiful and performed by the Bride’s great uncle who came out of retirement just for her 🙂 The family formals were taken behind the St. Albert Catholic Parish by the grotto which was really quite lovely. Isn’t she stunning?? After the family formals we moved on to the Alberta Wheat Pool and found some beautiful light to photograph this stunning couple and their bridal party. The reception was held back at the church where they transformed the hall into a beautiful venue. I ran into this little sweety and being a family photographer I just HAD to take a photo of her 😉 Thank you Ferdinand & Marko! And best wishes to you Nicole & Nathan…you make an incredible team!

I had the opportunity to assist Marko D Photography with wedding photography in Edmonton this past weekend and it was so much fun! Especially since I knew many of the wedding party from a previous wedding this summer!
I started out with Mike and the boys shooting some details:
And then we moved on to the gorgeous St. Joseph’s Basilica in Edmonton for some more pre-wedding shots.
The ceremony was gorgeous and filled with many special family members.
Afterwards we fought off killer bees (right ladies??) and went to various locations for bridal party photographs before a wonderful dinner and dance at the Mirage Banquet in Edmonton.
Aren’t they gorgeous AND fun!?!
Congratulations Hazel & Michael! I wish you many years of happiness!

I had the pleasure of second shooting Clarissa and Matt’s wedding a few weeks ago with FMPhotostudios & Marko D Photography and what a treat it was! It was so nice to get back into the swing of things and they certainly made it easy on me 🙂
I started the day by hanging out with the guys and photographing Matthew who is as charming as he is handsome (well done Clarissa!).
The ceremony was held at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Edmonton and was beautiful!! I’m pretty sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the house after they both said their vows…including mine. Very hard to concentrate and take photos when you can’t see!
Photographing this beautiful couple and their gorgeous bridal party was so much fun and VERY easy on the eyes! We started at the Art Gallery of Alberta where the reception was being held and then moved on to various locations including the University of Alberta.
The day ended with dinner and dancing at the AGA. The yummy macaroons were from the Duchess Bake Shop. I DEFINITELY need to check this place out! Here are a couple of my favourite detail photographs from the night.
Congratulations again Clarissa and Matthew! It was an absolute pleasure to help Ferdinand & Marko out with the photography and documentation of your beautiful day!

Yep this was from the summer and man was it fun! Remember Alicia & Thom? Well, they got hitched and they did it in fine style…
First Alicia prepped at her home with her family and bridesmaids. She was cool, calm and collected as she slipped into her beautiful dress and dazzled us all with her smile.
Meanwhile Jennifer Boggett was photographing the boys…There were a lot of headlocks between brothers from what I heard!
Then it was time for the ceremony at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Kanata. The ceremony was touching and very personalized.
We then scooted off in the heat to take some formal wedding photographs as well as the family photos. Ahhh….heat, remember what that felt like? Anyway! It was a warm and mosquito filled day, but they were troopers and looked gorgeous!
But remember, these two are foodies and have a FABULOUS sense of humour…so off to Sobey’s for some not so formal formals 😉
Thanks Sobey’s for graciously letting us take some fun photographs!! The reception was held at Next where the atmosphere was lovely, the food divine and the band amazing!
Thanks again for all of your support Jenn and Alicia & Thom…you are perfect together! I wish you all the happiness life has to offer and it was an honour to be a part of your day!

Remember Laura & Jasun? Well, as I sit with a blanket around me and a cup of cocoa, I’m dreaming of their GORGEOUS Cape Cod, MA wedding. The sun, the sand the beautiful colours…sigh. I would go back in.a.heart.beat.
Laura chose Cape Cod for their wedding because it holds such special meaning for her…she’s been “going to the Cape” since she was a wee girl. And, since Jay’s a PEI boy, the coastal theme suited him just fine 🙂 They were married in the historic First Parish Brewster which was absolutely gorgeous!
The Wequassett Resort and Golf Club was an absolutely magical choice for their reception! The food was incredible and the grounds spectacular…quintessential Cape Cod for sure! I loved how Jay wore his “lucky socks”…aka LAURA’S socks! 🙂 All together now…awwwww…
Since I can’t possibly post all of the pictures I want, here’s a few more in a slideshow from this most fabulous and special wedding…Enjoy!

Remember these two cuties? Well, we began with a session inspired by food since both bride and groom-to-be are foodies and it left me incredibly hungry! Bride-to-be worked out every detail to create a gorgeous “set” for the session and we photographed them preparing, cooking and celebrating! Who knew I’d get a cooking lesson at work?
First the chopping (note: I stayed clear of all knives…I’m notorious for slicing and dicing myself…):
Then we moved onto the fabulously talented cooking (look at those veggies catching air!):
And finally the champagne to celebrate the meal and the impending marriage! I love the look on her face when he suggested trying to shoot the cork out the window…ahem…
Oh! And who can resist a good “Lady and the Tramp” noodle kiss? 🙂
Now can you see why I was so hungry??

This couple is too darn cute…I think I told them that a million and one times during their engagement session. These gorgeous photos are just the second half of their session on a day that had called for rain and darkness and yuck! Ha! I don’t think so! The first half was indoors and styled in such a cute way I can’t share until they see them 😉 So enjoy a little sumpin’ sumpin’ for now!

Last summer I had the pleasure of second shooting Melissa & Daniel’s wedding with the lovely Julie C Butler Photography. It was an INCREDIBLY hot day in Ottawa and I was so amazed at everyone’s poise given that they were melting! It was such a fun wedding as the groom’s family were British so there were beautiful facinators and hats abound, but the bride’s family were french, and you know the je ne sais quoi those folks have!!
First up are the boys getting ready. I thought the groom looked like Bond, James Bond…how handsome! However, his cover was busted when they had to look up how to fold the hankie on YouTube…ahhhh, modern technology!
Then there was the beautiful service in Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica downtown followed by some gorgeous images of the bridal party near by. They looked so happy and smitten, it was wonderful!
And finally the reception at the gorgeous Royal Ottawa Golf Club. But don’t forget those adorable little flower girls…so sweet!!
More rewind posts to come 🙂
